dsc_0190-190-175Norma & Henry is vintage inspired, eco-conscious handmade clothing by (me) Leah Cahill.   My skirts, dresses (women’s and kids!) and aprons are inspired by slips of the 1940’s and 50’s as well as the idea that clothing should be fun and put a smile on your face.   Made of natural fibers, primarily cotton and linen, these pieces are easy to wear and add tons of color and originality to any outfit. The children’s dresses and aprons are created from pieces of fabric left over from the women’s styles- there is virtually no waste!

I fell in love with fabric at an early age.  My grandfather (Henry, married to Norma) worked as a textile broker in the NYC garment district for almost 50 years.  I had the good fortune of spending lots of time with him and his thousands of yards of fabric.  I am a graduate of Parsons School of Design, earning a degree in fashion design. My love of clothing and design has never faltered and over the past 10 years I designed for Blue Fish Clothing in Frenchtown, NJ.  I currently live in the beautiful Delaware River Valley where I raise two beautiful young children with my husband. My passion is to create and share my own fun, happy clothing that is comfortable and fits all shapes and sizes.
